Snowy Milan Fashion week-1

Actually it had been raining and snowing non-stop everyday during Milan Fashion week,  even friends joked I bring snow from Germany all the way to Italy. But apparently this chilling weather didn’t influence people’s passion for the fashion week at all. Since Paris fashion week has been going for days, now I have some time to write about the review of my Milan Fashion week trip properly.

Alberta Ferretti presented an effortless elegant show.  Feminine, gentle, classic designs is the tradition  of this brand, a lot of pieces reminded me of the costume designs in the old movies . The new series with less ornate details this time,  but they look fluent smooth and effortless grace from head to toe. a bit of girly elements made the whole series lively and youthful.

The new series of Moschino was inspired by Scottish traditions. It always so interesting to see that each time they presents such a classic and complete set as if they were made for a exact performance or play.

As a new individual brand this year, Philosophy’s new series is modern and funky. Oversized outwear shape, ethnic textiles, shinny accessories…all these together made a contrast: strong but delicate, serious but very interesting as well. I just couldn’t help to like this series.

During Fashion week, Pollini presents a very special exhibition which is called” Unpacking Pollini”. A mountain of shoes include all the classic pollini shoes styles for all these 60 years all together at once. The designer Nicholas Kirkwood made a  new series which is based on the style of 6 icon in the past years, such as Monica Vitti, Grace Jones, David Bowie, Lena Dunham…These designs of boots content the characters of them, absolutely fascinating.
