Paris Fashion week 2- The sea of fertility, episode 1

Finally I came back from fashion week, it’s time to write some reviews. ( Sorry I was too busy and too lazy to write long articles during the last week, but anyway I have time to drawing some impressions now, so it’s even better.)
The 4th of October was a deep ocean fairy tale day, It showed a big summer trend theme – Ocean. Whatever the shinny surrealism future ocean world from Chanel or the coral Gaia goddess from Alexander Mcqueen, they are both inspired by elements from the ocean. It was also very impressive to watch these two unbelievable beautiful shows at the same day.
Chanel always gives the audience a big surprise each time, how they present the show is the most worth while thing to expect from the fashion week. I was very impressed when I came into the grand palace, everywhere was decorated by blind white ocean element sculptures:coral, shell, jellyfish… it was a pure white ocean world. As impressive as the show, the newest collections showed a future surrealism oceanic fairy tale.
Sometimes I really wonder whether there is another dimension under the deep ocean. But I saw a unique sea world which was created by Karl. This is a ocean myths: Jellyfish, flake, pearl, shell, coral, shinny fish… models walked as if mermaid swam around;  Florence Welch sang in the shell as a ocean goddess.   The newest collection refreshed Chanel’s classic style, shinny fabric and dramatic cut reminds me some deep ocean sci-fi movies, it is technical but elegant as well. I think that is what Karl wanted, something new for this classic brand, after all we need some fresh things to refresh our mind.

inspiration-Jellyfish and coral

inspirations- jellyfish. Btw, do you know actually jelly fish could live forever…they are called the immortal jelly fish. Once they mate they change their cells at will to become young again thus living always. Only they die threw disease or predators. Something I randomly found out watching Q.I by the great Stephen Fry.

The outfit I wore that day was completely one of classic theme. It was all in black and white, oversized tops ,black ties with long skirt feels like backing to the beginning of last century.
