An old school charmer.

Old school men’s wear always could show elegance and strong personalities. Men’s wear isn’t only for gentlemen’s style personified, but also it shows more confidence on women. Since the beginning of the last century, men’s costume design hasn’t change so much, but more textiles designs and fabric experimentation. The classic age of men’s wear was 30s from my opinion, golden age of hollywood movies influenced fashion industry a lot. Tweed became the most popular fabric for men’s suits with wide cuts. After 40s the casual suits designs became trends.
I have to admit that I adore old fashioned men’s style, especially I could match different textiles blazers and different patterns vest. It is a lot of Fun for me. Perhaps because I have a kind of boyish character, men’s wear is very suitable of personality.

I agree, the Golden Age of Hollywood showcased the best in men’s fashion.

I like masculine style a lot especially for the blazers and the sweaters…ah, but I will have to stick to borrowing from my father’s closet for now since my mum still thinks it’s weird, haha. The intricate detailing in your vest is really cool and I love how there are these pops of colours in different places. Thanks for sharing your inspiration photographs!
