Surreal by Nature.

Sometimes I do appreciate that I was born in this incredible planet where I could see the changes of nature, the secrets of life. Inspirations of art culture are the presents which come from this amazing nature, imagination is the our tool to represent our expressions of this reality. Then we could say nature is the most original inspirations.
However, the most important thing is, how could we use these inspirations to create our unique style?  Keeping your own style from many influences around you as difficult as keeping inspiring yourself.
This year is Matthew Williamson’s 15th anniversary.  For the resort 2013 collection, he created a Williamson’s surreal style, a distorted nature world for women’s vocation.  As dreamy as patterns of butterfly, as red as dancing coral in the sea, as blue as deep ocean under sky, as cool as the aurora in the north, as girlish as cherry blossom in April…wearing “nature” and hugging nature, a perfect concept of resort. Matthew’s design always has very fascinating prints details and very classic tailors cut-simple, but never boring. In these 15 years he always knows what he wants. I think that’s the key to keep a designer’s unique ideas. Since he started working with British artist Mat Collishaw on the photographic cooperation, the newest collections was somehow influenced by Mat’s  mysterious and distorted photo style but also kept his own colorful, surreal, ethnic and romantic DNA, whatever designer or photographer, the people who have similar perspective are always could inspire each other.
Was inspired by the collection I created this ” Lady Ginkgo” based on 20s style. Actually interesting things are always timeless.

Where do you draw your inspiration and creativity from? Looking forward to your interesting comments!
