No time to waste

That day when I saw this woman she caught my attention so much that I could not keep my eyes off her even for an instant. I was really touched by that moment, as with a lot of my Art is influenced by such fleeting people that wonder in and out of my field of view but always somehow remain in the imagination. Some people can make such a strong impact on others, that even days or week and in some rare cases even years after they remain in our minds. Sometimes also it surprises me that my memory can always retain these details of my chance encounters with people. With this woman in navy blue , she was crossing the road at the same time as me but kept some distance , somehow it reminded me of the books I read where the Protagonist is always  somehow shrouded in a delicate shadow of mystery. At that moment I could see how the dress floated with such grace and elegance in the light wind , strong red fabric caught the attention and the shoes also had the same matching red.

Often I wish that my mind was like that of a camera so that I can capture every moment of the people that inspire me, to retain the scenes when traveling and have perfect recall, to never have a single bit of visual goodness vanish..but the mind is designed to , well not forget , but to push aside the older non essential memories and make space for the new ones. Maybe this is also an important part and not as bad as we think because for “Art” it allows us to fill in the gaps with our creativity.
